Well, went to the doctor's office wednesday, and they didn't draw labs so she could do nothing. I mentioned my Urology referral again, and she said she was puting them in every time I asked about them, and it was up to the urology clinic to get to the issue. So, I got frustrated and visited the admin department. We had a rather intense discussion, and he put me on the phone with a clerk in the urology department.
Normally, I have a very very hard time raising my voice on the phone. However, it was time for gluteal mastication. For those of you who do some kind of phone support, I hope you know that when dealing with an irate customer, the phrase "I don't think you understand" is like putting out a fire with nitro. At that point, she got a response of, "No, I don't think you understand, I don't care about your little procedures that do nothing but make it harder to get needed care. I understand compoletely, and that is completely irrelevent to me. What is relevent is that I need an appointment, and my doctor agrees that I need an appointment, and I'm not getting one, and that is a big problem, and it's all yours, not anyone else's." I was, to say the least, less than amused.
Otherwise, things are moving slowly. Got my PO for books yesterday, so it's time to hit the bookstore and get the process of getting the books scanned done.
I also had a rather intense dream last night, one that made me realize that one of the concerns from Monday's get together isn't such a big deal. I have a call in to the person in question, but it may take time for them to get to their voicemail. I need to chat with them and let them know what I've been feeling and how I feel about it now. (If you think this is you I'm referring to, check your recent missed call log.)
I've started the application process for a guide dog. I debated about this, as a dog is a big commitment, but it takes me fifty minutes to get to the music building from the house unaided and twenty aided, so I want those extra thirty minutes each way. Plus, I can see how the "follow" and "empty seat" commands would be a great help in many situations. I'm applying to Guide Dogs for the Blind, a really good organization. They're a big school, so they have lots of classes and good support.
Declutterfication is progressing nicely. I have one pile left, and thet will get dealt with hopefully by the weekend. The next step is my bathroom, going through stuff to see what neds to stay and what needs to go away. "Useful" isn't good enough. "Regularly Useful" or "useful often" or "Not easy to Replace" is what will make things stay.
After buying a good open reel four track deck, the damned power cord got missplaced. this is a major factor in this cleaning spree. I hate having to spend money on things that I already have because they can't be found.
